Architecture & Planning

Dave Mojica has over 18 years of architectural and complex land use experience, leading a wide variety of project typologies. In recent years, his focus has been on affordable housing in the Pacific Northwest, and he has led project teams in designing over 700 of affordable units across the State of Oregon. From large-scale campus developments to affordable homeownership townhouses, Dave’s breadth of work comprises complex design reviews and subdivisions, and he has contributed to local zoning code amendments that make projects of all types and sizes happen.

Art & Branding Coordination

A holistic vision of community integrates culture at all scales, including the critical and oftentimes overlooked component of art. Dave’s approach to art coordination focuses on balancing schedule needs, maximizing budget, and connecting occupants with their local community. He examines and identifies common themes between the architecture, artists, and clients to create places where all feel a sense of ownership. In addition to this, Dave has also supported development teams in branding efforts and furniture coordination to ensure a cohesive experience.

Engagement & Research

Creating stronger communities starts by learning from one another. Dave has collaborated with teams to implement early community engagement activities, critical for influencing programmatic modifications to better support underserved populations. Following project completion, he has led post-occupancy evaluations to collect measurable qualitative and quantitative data, allowing development teams to make informed decisions on future projects and improve operations. Dave also volunteers as AIA Oregon’s Housing Committee Chair and as an adjunct instructor at the University of Oregon.
