About Me

Dave Mojica is a design lead and project manager who’s career centers on delivering a client’s vision using a community-driven approach. He integrates a deep understanding of context and culture in his work—his designs are holistic, meaningful, and often utilize humble materials in inventive ways. He works with conventional and new technologies and delivered Portland’s first CLT commercial building, Flatiron PDX as an Associate at Works Architecture. When paired with efficient structural and building systems, his approach consistently leads to projects delivered on time, on budget, and with minimal modification through value engineering. As an Associate Principal at SEA he was a dedicated primary point of contact for all projects he oversaw from concept design through construction.

His recent work has focused on creating sustainable affordable communities. He led the management and design of the City of Salem’s first master planned Community for All Ages, Mahonia Crossing, and is invested in exploring non-traditional approaches to development and shaping future city codes. Dave embraces an approach that incorporates sustainability in all projects, repeatedly delivering Earth Advantage Platinum Certifications that meet the moment and stay resilient for the future. In his work, he implements the principles of universal design and crafts diverse, multi-generational moments of engagement to influence the future of our communities. He also serves as AIAO’s Housing Advocacy Chair, a committee focused on bringing architectural voices to critical affordable housing policy making.
